SPX AWARDS 2026

Shared Patient eXperience aims to bring together international organisations, healthcare institutions and companies that want to improve and share their experience with patients.

The SPX Awards 2026 will recognise initiatives that significantly improve the patient experience within an organisation. Submission are now open to all healthcare sectors, public or private, until 15 December 2025, in the 3 following categories:

  • Improving the patient experience in an emergency situation
  • Taking into account patient experience in the communication process
  • Patient experience as a driver of innovation

The winners will be announced during 6th SPX Awards 2026 ceremony which will take place on 16/04/2026 in Paris.

HOW TO ENTER

1. Verifiy if your project is eligible for the SPX Awards 2026.

To be eligible your initiative must be underway or in an active deployment phase in the year of the Awards and meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate that patients’ expectations were identified upstream.
  • Involve patients in the co-construction of solutions.
  • Include patients in defining the criteria for measuring results.

2. Fill in the submission form before 15 December 2025 (end of the day)

CALENDAR

PHASE 1 | Call for Projects

  • 15 December 2025: Final submission deadline.

PHASE 2 | Preselection and Public Vote

  • January 2026: A first jury will shortlist a total of 12 initiatives maximum, 4 per category (see rules for selection criteria). Shortlisted candidates will be contacted shortly after and given instructions to produce a video about their initiative. 
  • March 2026: Videos of shortlisted initiatives will be made public on SPX’s website along with a voting form. During this phase, finalists are encouraged to share their video as much as possible as the initiative that receives the most votes will win the ‘Public Vote’ prize.

PHASE 3 | Final Selection and Winners’ Announcement

  • April 2026: The final selection will be made by a second jury composed of professionals, who will follow a strict selection grid that takes into account certain aspects such as pragmatism, interdisciplinarity, openness to cultural change, ease of adoption and managerial support, openness to cultural change, ease of adoption and managerial support. The winners will be announced during the Awards Ceremony. 
  • 16 April 2026: Announcement of the winners at the awards ceremony to be held in Paris (France).

PRIZES

4 WINNERS PRIZES

A total of 4 winners prizes will be awarded for the SPX Awards 2026: one prize per category as as well as an additional prize for the initiative, among the non-winning finalists, that receives the most votes during the Public Vote phase. The 4 winners will be awarded the following prizes:

  • Personalized trophy.
  • Speaker at an SPX Talk.
  • Featured on the SPX HUB page of the SPX website.
  • Featured in the “SPX Awards Guide.”
  • Institutions already members of SPX: 50% reduction on 2027 institutional membership.
  • Non-member healthcare institutions:
    • If the institution wishes to become an SPX institutional member: free membership for the current year (2026) + 50% reduction on 2027 membership.
    • If the institution does not wish to become a member: 50% reduction for up to 4 registrations at the SPX International Colloquium 2026. For additional registrations, a 15% reduction will apply.
  • Other organizations: 50% reduction for up to 4 registrations at the SPX International Colloquium 2026. For additional registrations, a 15% reduction will apply.
  • Broad communication via social media and SPX activities.
 
8 FINALISTS PRIZES
 

The 8 finalists who haven’t won will also be awarded the following prizes:

  • Featured on the SPX HUB page of the SPX website.
  • Featured in the “SPX Awards Guide.”
  • Institutions already members of SPX: 20% reduction on 2027 institutional membership.
  • Non-member healthcare institutions:
    • If the institution wishes to become an SPX institutional member: free membership for the current year (2026) + 20% reduction on 2027 membership.
    • If the institution does not wish to become a member: 50% reduction for up to 2 registrations at the SPX International Colloquium 2026. For additional registrations, a 15% reduction will apply.
  • Other organizations: 50% reduction for up to 2 registrations at the 2026 SPX International Colloquium 2026. For additional registrations, a 15% reduction will apply.
  • Broad communication via social media and SPX activities.
