SPX Awards 2026: 10 initiatives shortlisted to advance Patient Experience
Building on the momentum of its previous editions, Shared Patient eXperience continues its mission with a new edition of the SPX Awards. The SPX Awards 2026 shine a spotlight on organisations, healthcare institutions, and companies from around the world that are actively transforming patient experience through concrete and impactful initiatives.
A growing international reach for the 6th edition
For this sixth edition, institutions and organisations were invited to submit projects designed to enhance patient experience across one of three focus areas:
- Improving the patient experience in an emergency situation
- Taking into account the patient experience in communication
- Patient experience as a driver of innovation
The SPX European Awards 2026 received submissions from eight countries: France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Monaco, Switzerland, Croatia, and Canada. After careful review, a first jury shortlisted 10 initiatives that stood out for their relevance, impact, and their ability to meaningfully embed patient experience into organisational practices.
Public voting phase to open soon
The shortlisted initiatives now move into the public voting phase. Each finalist will present their project through a short video. The public will be invited to discover them and vote for their favourite initiatives from 11 until 23 March.
A second jury, independent from the pre-selection panel, will then designate the winners in each category. In parallel, a fourth award will recognise the project that receives the highest number of votes from the public.
The winners will be officially announced during the Awards Ceremony on 16 April.
Winning initiatives will benefit from strong international visibility through SPX communication channels, as well as extended promotion to SPX members throughout the year. A dedicated handbook showcasing all shortlisted projects will also be published to highlight and share these best practices.
The SPX Awards celebrate initiatives that place patients at the heart of care, promote multidisciplinary collaboration, and demonstrate an innovative mindset.
