SPX Talks: Transforming oncology care

During this session, Pepa Soriano, Corporate Care Director at Grupo Ribera, and María Pilar Navarro, Managing Director of Hospital Universitario Ribera Torrejón, introduced the DOMUM Torrejón Project.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with Fundación Nous Cims and Hospital Universitario de Torrejón, aims to transform oncology care by integrating patients’ emotional, social, and physical needs into a truly holistic care model.
About our speakers:
Pepa Soriano Ruiz has been Corporate Care Director at Grupo Ribera since 2020, where she leads key projects such as population health, international patient care, and patient experience. Originally trained as a nurse, she has extensive experience in healthcare management, having held various leadership positions in hospitals and health departments. She has also served as principal investigator in several high-impact publications, co-authored books, and contributed to the development of healthcare apps and startups.
María Pilar Navarro holds a degree in Law, a Master’s in Healthcare Management, and additional executive training in Healthcare Institutions Leadership. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare management, she has been a strong advocate for person-centered care. Since 2022, she has served as Managing Director of Hospital Universitario de Torrejón.
