COLLOQUIUM

Our first conference was entitled “The place of the patient in the strategic management of health institutions“.

It took place on October 15, 2019 in Brussels.

Health experts, institutional directors and of course patients will share their experiences by developing their practices and experiences.

This day, entirely devoted to XP, took place in Brussels. This conference attracted 193 participants from various countries (Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, France) and whose varied audience was mainly composed of general managers, quality managers, healthcare managers, doctors, humanitarian sector managers, communication managers and patients.

During the morning, the speakers followed one another to present an overview of XP today; beyond the Beryl Institute’s definition: The sum of all interactions, shaped by an organization’s culture, that influence patient perceptions across the continuum of care.

In the afternoon, there was a debate on the implementation of this XP culture within the institutions. Should an XP manager be included? What should his profile be? What are the obstacles to the deployment of such a culture, which must be transversal? The various stakeholders agreed that the focus must be on this paradigm shift, which is the next step to be negotiated.
