SPX AWARDS 2021
Inspire other institutions and apply for the
“Shared Patient eXperience Award 2021”.
On the occasion of our second anniversary, we will be presenting the 1st Prize for Shared Patient Experience on June 4, 2021.
Is the patient’s opinion always important in your institution? Do you take into account the way care and services are experienced and this has led to inspiring initiatives in which a multidisciplinary approach is adopted towards a satisfied patient or a caregiver? Do you believe in the power of knowledge sharing with healthcare institutions in your own sector, but also beyond, in your own country and internationally?

We will offer 2 prizes, one in the “patient experience” category and another in the “patient experience and Covid” category.
The non-profit Shared Patient eXperience (SPX) wishes to bring together European healthcare institutions to exchange knowledge and best practices.
Inspiring initiatives and refreshing ideas can contribute to a higher level of patient experience for all of us.
Who can submit an initiative?
Any European health organization that has launched an initiative to promote the patient experience.
Which files are eligible?
You must send a completed form before March 26, 2021 – only this format is valid.
The project is an initiative of your health organization and still exists.
The emphasis is on the perception of the patient and / or the caregiver.
If your initiative is chosen, you agree to submit before April 30 2021 a short video of maximum 1min 30 in a simple format concretely summarizing your initiative. The list of shortlisted initiatives will be announced on April 12, 2021.
Each health institution can submit a maximum of 1 project per category (covid – non covid).
Language: Dutch, French, English or Spanish.
What are the evaluation criteria?
Patients / carers were given the opportunity to contribute.
The initiative involves multidisciplinary collaboration and the management supports the initiative.
The initiative initiates open dialogue / stimulates cultural change.
The initiative is innovative in this meaning that it meets the current needs of the patient / carer.
The results are measurable and concrete.
The initiative may be applicable in other healthcare establishments.
SPX may contact the initiator for further details if necessary.
The initiator grants SPX the right to broadcast the video submitted via the communication channels (YouTube, social networks, website, etc.) and guarantees a written agreement from the persons represented in the video.
How is the evaluation carried out?
A first preselection of 10 initiatives is carried out by the members of SPX on the basis of the defined criteria. The list of successful initiatives will be announced on April 12, 2021.
The winners are chosen by a mixed jury: 50% via the website and linkedin and 50% neutral members of SPX. Voting will begin on April 30, 2021 and run until May 17, 2021.
The announcement of the winners will take place on June 11, 2021. The winners will be honored internationally for one year as the patient experience-oriented organization of the year.
All available communication channels (including general and professional press, newsletter / website / SPX social networks / international webinar) will be used for this purpose.
