SPX unveils the 12 initiatives shortlisted for the 5th SPX European Awards

Following the success of the first four editions, Shared Patient eXperience has repeated the experience in 2025.

A truly international 5th edition

For this fifth edition, participating institutions and organisations had the opportunity to submit their initiatives aimed at improving the patient experience in one of the following categories:

  • Improving the patient experience in an emergency situation
  • Taking into account the patient experience in communication
  • Patient experience as a driver of innovation

This year’s SPX European Awards 2025 attracted entries from six different countries: France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland and Oman. From these, an initial panel of judges shortlisted 12 initiatives that met strict criteria, including their ability to explicitly improve and integrate the patient experience.

Next stage: the public vote!

The finalists must now present their initiatives in video form for the public to judge. All the videos will be published on 11 March, allowing the public to vote for their favourite projects until 31 March.

A second jury, independent of the first, will then select the winners in each category, taking into account the results of the vote. In addition, a 4th prize will be awarded to the initiative that receives the most votes from the public.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 10 April.

The winners will be able to count on international visibility thanks to communication via various channels, including the press, SPX’s newsletter, website and social networks, as well as a year-long relay to its members. A handbook containing the shortlisted projects will also be published to share the best initiatives selected.

The awards recognise initiatives that put the patient first and work in a multidisciplinary way to satisfy patients and/or their families. An innovative spirit is encouraged.
